MULTI-ZONE MRCOOL DIY 36K BTU 3-ZONE MINI SPLIT - AN AC SYSTEM YOU CAN INSTALL YOURSELF!
Complete the installation of this MrCool DIY 36k BTU 21.5 SEER 3-Zone Ductless Heat Pump Split System - 9k+9k+18k all on your own and heat and cool three areas of your home to your comfort level with one system. By design the MrCool DIY Ductless Split System is a heat pump, which reverses the air conditioning process and pulls ambient heat into your home from the outdoors when in heating mode. The outdoor heat pump in this kit has a heating capacity of 36,000 BTU and is incredibly efficient with a 21.5 SEER rating. The two 9,000 BTU air handlers can distribute heated or cooled air in a space up to about 400 square feet, while the 18,000 BTU air handler does the same for up to 1,000 square feet.
The MrCool DIY 36k BTU 21.5 SEER 3-Zone Ductless Heat Pump Split System - 9k+9k+18k can be easily installed as it does not require special training, tools, or a certified HVAC technician. The Quick Connect line set is the key to this system’s easy installation as it is pre-charged with an eco-friendly refrigerant. And, unlike conventional mini-splits, amateur installation does not void the warranty on the DIY. It is designed with the amateur in mind.
The easy-to-read digital display on the front of each indoor air handler allows you to easily check the temperature of your room with a quick glance. You can also find that information in the MrCool Smart Controller mobile app, which is available for iOS and Android devices.
To enjoy the convenience of controlling your unit wirelessly, install the included USB device by placing it in the slot under the front panel of the air handler. With the wireless connection, you can control your heat or air with the included remote, the MrCool Smart Controller app, an Amazon Alexa, or Google Assistant.
The three MrCool air handlers included in this multi-zone system direct and evenly blow the air through your space so everyone can stay at the right comfort level no matter the temperature outside. They most commonly do this in auto mode. Just set each air handler to your desired temperature for the space and let the system do the rest. The amount of heat or air conditioning is then based on the difference between the current air temperature and the temperature you set.
However, at night you can opt for sleep mode which allows you to save money while you sleep. Once initiated, the area’s temperature is moderated for eight hours to limit your energy usage in a way you won’t notice. In each of the first two hours in this window, the appliance will drop while heating or rise while cooling by 2°F. For the remaining six hours, the appliance will operate at a more moderate temperature while you sleep soundly.
Worried about excess humidity? The drying function on this MrCool DIY 36k BTU 21.5 SEER 3-Zone Ductless Heat Pump Split System - 9k+9k+18k allows you to continue to control the temperature of your space while dehumidifying. You can also keep your air handlers condensation free with the anti-mildew function. With this function, the air handler will continue to run with low air flow for 10 minutes after being powered off to dry moisture inside the unit.
Additional features of this MrCool DIY 36k BTU 21.5 SEER 3-Zone Ductless Heat Pump Split System - 9k+9k+18k keep your system working to your advantage. You can use the timer to both limit your energy usage and save money on your next utility bill. Check out the service alerts on the easy-to-read display if your system ever runs low on refrigerant or has a suspected leak. Activating the mute function allows you to keep your space quiet and interruption-free.
Maintenance is easy with the MrCool DIY 36k BTU 21.5 SEER 3-Zone Ductless Heat Pump Split System - 9k+9k+18k’s built-in alerts and simple reminders. Troubleshooting codes appear on the front display when an issue arises, and the user manual contains an index for these codes, such as low refrigerant, clean air filter, or replacement air filter. Maintain the exterior of each indoor and outdoor unit by wiping it down with a dry or damp cloth. No specialty cleaning products needed. When the filter gets dirty, simply remove them, rinse them, and let them dry.
